- Leader of His People -

He was convinced the best way to preserve his people and their culture was to accept the conditions of the treaties offered by the Canadian government. Though he diligently upheld his part of the treaty it’s debatable whether the other party did.

The Real Hero of the West
Height: 12 inches (30.5 cm)
Width: 9 1/4 inches (23.5 cm)
Description: The opening of the west may have granted opportunities to people who otherwise would be stuck in a way of life with no chance of advancement. However they could not have foreseen the hardships they were to endure. Women, especially, suffered unthinkable hardships as they faced the inhospitable climate and environment of the new land. We all know accounts of heroism and heartbreak and can only feel gratitude for the sacrifices they made as we enjoy the fruits of their determination.
Which Hand?
